On behalf of Syngenta, DPA Supply Chain is looking for a:
Crop Planner (Enkhuizen / fulltime)
Create and maintain a Regional tactical supply plan for designated crops and provide operational co-ordination along the end-end supply chain, to optimize inventory and maintain the supply/demand balance, with a specific focus on cost & supply chain responsiveness.
Activities
- Responsible for maintain the overall regional supply plan by collating, checking and reviewing sales forecasts, net demands, purchase requisitions and inventory information on a monthly basis. For projection and monitoring of regional inventory, supply over a 3 year horizon;
- Identify future supply constraints before they become current problems, develop options for their resolution and in the case of major incidents present to the Regional S&OP for approval – at all times with a primary objective of preserving promised customer delivery dates wherever possible;
- Maintain and communicate the Projected Available Balance inventory position and optimize available inventory through alignment with the strategic imperatives outlined in the Regional Crop Supply Plan. Decide on seed purchase volumes and communicate accordingly;
- Understand market dynamics, trends and changes in assortment (EMEA region). Pro-active towards Marketing forecast input, changes and timing;
- Ensure regular and pro-active communication with stakeholders within supply chain, development and marketing & sales for all relevant information;
- Establish and operate KPI reporting processes and initiate corrective actions as required;
- Active participant in the regional Supply Review Process, working with the other supply chain members in the operational delivery of our promises towards the customers;
- Execute the regional allocation plan, as decided by the regional marketing manager;
- Provide/update export and import restriction information for stakeholders as required;
- Be an integral part of the provisions/discards process;
- Coordinate all master data updates for existing / new products towards the received seeds level;
- Contribute to the process of continuous improvement of the planning process, in alignment with the Seeds Business Process Governance Model.
Job Requirements
Critical knowledge:
- Broad knowledge of Planning and Supply Chain processes within Seeds;
- Bachelor degree in logistics;
- APICs or MRPII;
- NEVI 2;
- Demonstrated expertise of ERP systems, with specific experience in demand management, production planning and inventory management modules;
- Fluent in English.
Critical experience:
- 3-5 years crop planning or comparable experience in the seed industry or agriculture preferred;
- Operating in a multi plant multi cultural global matrix environment;
- Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities;
- Result oriented and customer focused;
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
- High level of computer ability in data management systems and office programs;
- Proficient timemanagement skills.
